X-Trade General Merchandise was established last September 01, 2001. The Company is owned and managed by Mr. Jesus M. Alfonso, who has worked for United Pulp & Paper Company, Inc., ( UPPC) for 27 years, until August 2001. Initially, the Company concentrated on the sales of test liner and corrugating medium, both products of UPPC, the local leader in the industry.
During the early part of 2002, X-trade went into the industrial kraft paper bag business. Customers continued to grow, serving packaging material for veterinary products, feeds, skim milk, fertilizer and fish meals. Materials used for these bags are imported kraft paper from U.S.A. and Russia.
In October of 2006 X-Trade Paper & Packaging Co., INc. was established to serve the growing clientele.
